Press Release

December 16, 2010:  GLOBAL GROUND AUTOMATION RELEASES VOYAGEUR RESERVE™

SECAUCUS, NJ (December 16, 2010)  -  Global Ground Automation, Inc. (GGA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rearden Commerce) today announced the release of Voyageur Reserve™. The next generation of Odyssey. Voyageur will continue to deliver the best automation software experience in the ground transportation industry. The release will bring about new and exciting enhancements that will help your business continue to grow and succeed. We are anticipating the release of Voyageur™ phase I in Q4 2010 with phase II in Q1 2011.

Voyageur's new architecture meets the Payment Card Industry (PCI) payment application security standards. Voyageur™ PCI compliance means that the software meets or exceeds payment card industry-approved guides for keeping your customer's credit card safe and secure. Payment processors have mandated that any vendor who stores or transmits credit card information must conform to PCI guidelines or face significant penalties.

Included in our phase I release:

Communication Enhancements

  1. Advanced customer messaging that sends the driver name and cell phone information as an email or text message to the passenger's mobile device based on the ride status.
  2. Automated email confirmations of upcoming rides sent to passengers 24 hours prior to pickup time (configurable by passenger or account). The confirmations will provide a summary of trip information.
  3. Automated email confirmation of upcoming rides sent to affiliates / farm-outs 24 hours prior to pickup time (configurable by affiliate or account). The confirmations will provide a summary of trip information.
Included in our phase II release:

Auto Closeout

For rides booked via the Saturn booking system, a pricing transaction containing final trip pricing will be automatically sent back to the traveler after the service provider finalizes the costs and closes the ride in their Voyageur™ system. The final trip costs will then be automatically sent back to the respective travel booking system, greatly simplifying the corporate traveler's expense management and reconciliation.

Enhanced Farm-In/Out

For affiliate rides farmed out over the Transponet™ distribution system, final trip pricing will be returned automatically from the providing company back to the booking company. This enhancement will automate the closeout of farmed out trips and calculate affiliate / sub contractor pay. The affiliate pricing information will be available in the booking company's Voyageur™ system in the Ride Closeout screen for review.

October 20, 2010:  PARK ‘N FLY AND GLOBAL GROUND AUTOMATION ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP

Airport parking now available through GDS

ATLANTA, GA (October 20, 2010)  -  Park ‘N Fly, a nationwide off-airport parking provider, today announced they have partnered with Global Ground Automation (GGA) to provide corporate travel agents with access to airport parking reservations through the global distribution systems (GDS).

Park ‘N Fly’s online reservation system, branded the Park ‘N Fly Network™, services more than 60 markets nationwide. “This partnership marks the first time that airport parking has been integrated into the booking process for corporate travel agents via the GDS’,” commented Brett Bodenan, who manages the Park ‘N Fly Network. “We believe providing travel agents access to reserve airport parking in advance will be a significant convenience for their travelers,” he continued.

With the integration of the Park ‘N Fly Network, airport parking becomes another travel component for which corporate travel managers can establish a national policy. “In today’s environment, examining all travel-related costs and the impact on a corporation’s bottom-line is an important business strategy,” said Gregg Tuccillo, President and CEO of Global Ground Automation. “Implementing airport parking into a company’s overall travel management plan is another way in which corporations are able to manage their travel budgets. By reserving parking in advance through the Park ‘N Fly Network and having that reservation incorporated into the traveler’s itinerary, corporate travel agents are able to provide the convenience of guaranteed airport parking at a considerable cost savings,” added Tuccillo.

September 28, 2010:  GLOBAL GROUND AUTOMATION SIGNS TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION AGREEMENT WITH EVENT GROUND GLOBAL

SECAUCUS, NJ (September 28, 2010)  -  Global Ground Automation, Inc. (GGA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rearden Commerce) today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Event Ground Global (EGG) to deliver EGG’s patent pending Manifest Optimization Solutions (MOS) event management system to GGA clients. In addition, GGA and EGG will collaborate to build an additional application, powered by MOS, to automate the pre-venue selection pricing, optimization and distribution processing of group meeting ground reservations.

MOS, an event management tool developed to streamline the process for meeting and event ground transportation, is designed to reduce the time required to manage that process by up to 80 percent while delivering up to 30 percent in cost savings. Its capabilities include:

  • intelligently reviewing and identifying potential data issues within manifests
  • automatically validating flight data
  • providing critical insight to local event markets
  • optimizing the most logical and efficient groupings for all users
  • integrating directly into ground transportation providers’ reservations systems

It is also designed to enable booking agents for the first time to effortlessly direct reservations to approved and preferred suppliers enabling compliance with corporate policies and SMMP (strategic meetings management plans).

“We are pleased to enter into this collaboration with EGG to provide our mutual customers with yet another innovation in the automation of ground service bookings,” said Gregg L. Tuccillo, CEO, Global Ground Automation. “This important enhancement will allow group travel departments, destination/event management companies, ground transportation providers and convention and visitors bureau entities to automate the price quoting of group-based ground moves through GGA’s existing real- time pricing functionality. As important, when it comes time to distribute those reservations, it will do so through GGA’s tried and true delivery systems. While GGA has always been adept at helping clients manage their transient ground needs, this new functionality meets the pre-pricing (before venue selection) requirements that clients must have to understand the comparative costs associated with group ground moves when looking at multiple venues.” Tuccillo added that, “Our market analysis indicates that meeting and event ground needs represent some 30-40 percent of corporate ground spend that up until now was not addressable with our transient based products.”

“As part of the Rearden Commerce network we have access to large distribution channels and can easily improve upon our existing technology platform to accelerate our product innovation curve,” said Gregg Tuccillo, president and CEO of GGA. “GGA is committed to operating on an open platform and will remain dedicated to all our partners by maintaining the same business model and vendor-neutral approach.”

The integration of the two systems will provide MOS users with the ability to continue to use spreadsheet style manifests to price and bulk-upload reservations while incorporating MOS functionality into CBT’s and GDS’s to complete pricing and groupings scenarios prior to sending automated reservations to their ground transportation suppliers.

Evan Michaels, CEO of EGG, was similarly enthusiastic, “Working with GGA on this project has been a great experience for Event Ground Global, as they are clearly the leader in the automated ground transportation technology space. By adding MOS, the state-of-the-art meeting management tool to the mix, we expect to come to the aid of the meeting organizers that, today, have little or no technology to assist them in managing group ground.”

The integration of the systems and MOS co-development project is anticipated to begin immediately and be available for use in the fourth quarter of 2010.
